Embarking on a project for a family that has been loyal customers for five years is always special. When they expressed their desire for a new floor with enhanced slip resistance, I knew this job was going to be more than just another project – it was going to be a labor of love.

The floor, previously coated by another company several years ago, held sentimental value for the family. However, it was time for a change. After gladly accepting the job, we wasted no time in getting started the following week.

The transformation began with a meticulous diamond grind to remove the old coating from the floor and stem walls. Discovering that the transition area had been neglected and was starting to deteriorate, we saw an opportunity to do something extraordinary. With the family's permission, we performed a deep grind on the transition, revealing the stunning stone aggregate beneath, which we later accentuated with a clear sealer, unveiling its artistic beauty.

Once the floor was prepped and cleaned, we applied a tinted epoxy and our unique "tidal wave flake" for full coverage. Hand scraping the floor in all directions, followed by sanding and thorough cleaning, ensured a flawless finish. To prioritize safety, we mixed our polyaspartic sealer with a generous amount of aluminum oxide for maximum grip. The application of the sealer was done meticulously, eliminating any imperfections.

As the project neared completion, we returned all items to the garage, adding our signature threshold seal for that professional touch our customers have come to love.

This project was more than just a job – it was a testament to the bond formed with loyal customers and the dedication to delivering exceptional results. The floor not only gained slip resistance but also a new life, showcasing a blend of functionality and artistic flair.
