Cosmetic Filling- If it is determined that the cracks in the substrate and or chips could hinder the final
appearance or cause issues while applying the epoxy, CES will measure/count and apply the appropriate
cost to patch. Keep in mind that some cracks are not visible until the top cap has been ground off, and the
fee to patch will be due immediately. A change of order or Addendum may be required to continue work
after discovery has been made. Cosmetic fillings are only designed for visual purposes, not as a repair
Damage Repair- Unlike our cosmetic filling, damage repair will add structural durability to the area
applied. We start by using what's called a crack chaser to the crack to open it up which allows more of our
product to enter the damaged area. Typically this product is dry and grindable in 10-15 minutes. Once dry
we will grind the areas smoothly and continue with our prep process. Damage repair is done when the
customer and contractor agree there are structural issues with the substrate. It is always recommended to
have a foundation repair company assess the situation however we understand this may not be financially
friendly to do so. Our damage repair product is a polyurea product that is designed to bond two broken
pieces of slab together. When cured, this product is so hard to even our industrial grinders have a hard
time grinding it smoothly.
